The car accident took place around 8:30 am Wednesday, as the rain was heaviest. Fire and rescue crews responded, as did Corsicana police, and there were no serious injuries reported. In the midst of it, one police car did hit a guardrail.

Dunagan was dragged about two blocks by the suspect vehicle before it ran off into a ditch. The second officer, Garrett Harrell, was injured during a scuffle with the suspect following the crash, according to Corsicana Police Chief Randy Bratton.
